Server Hosting & Cloud Specialist – IT Operations EMEA

Join Atlas Copco's Global IT Hub in Pune and play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing a resilient, efficient, and forward-thinking IT infrastructure for the EMEA region. Your core mission will be to take full ownership of Server Hosting and Cloud technologies, ensuring seamless and robust service delivery aligned with strategic IT goals and user expectations.

You will partner with multidisciplinary teams including End User Computing, Identity and Access Management, and Network teams to build, support, and innovate infrastructure services. Collaborating closely with our trusted global partners such as Kyndryl and Atos, you will ensure high availability and compliance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Driving a proactive mindset and automation strategies to prevent incidents and enhance system health, you will be a key influencer in elevating operational excellence. You will mentor and develop support team members and local IT teams, fostering knowledge sharing and best practices to optimize IT service delivery.

As the go-to expert, you will support the resolution of complex and critical technical challenges, provide expert advice for solution designs, and actively participate in transformative projects focused on leveraging Microsoft Azure cloud services. Your leadership will be instrumental in steering the strategic shift from traditional on-premise hosting to cloud-based infrastructure, aligning with the global digital transformation roadmap.

You will champion the introduction and adoption of innovative technologies and standards, ensuring operational practices meet business demands while maintaining strict adherence to compliance and security policies.

Core Technologies and Expertise Areas

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Azure cloud platforms including Azure Files and Azure File Sync.
• In-depth understanding and hands-on experience with Windows and Linux server operating systems.
• Expertise in virtualization technologies, specifically VMWare Vcenter.
• Competent knowledge of storage solutions from Dell and HP, alongside server hardware management.
• Strong capabilities with Veeam backup solutions, PowerShell scripting, and security technologies like BitLocker and Microsoft Defender.
• Experience managing Active Directory and Azure AD environments, and a sound foundation in networking concepts.

To succeed, you will need

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or closely related disciplines.
• 6 to 10 years of progressive IT experience embracing cloud hosting and server infrastructure domains.
• A passion for technology, particularly in network infrastructure and cloud solutions.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken, are essential.
• ITIL certification is required, with additional technology-specific certifications considered an advantage.
