Your role
Job Description
Lead and manage service centre operations for turbocompressors and turbo expanders, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality execution of inspection, repair, overhaul, reassembly, and testing. Drive operational efficiency, cost control, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction while building team capability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Workshop & Operations Management
Manage the complete repair lifecycle from inspection to final testing and release. Plan and optimize capacity, manpower, tools, and equipment to meet delivery targets. Ensure strict adherence to OEM standards, technical procedures, and approved work scopes while coordinating with product teams, vendors, and supply chain.
2. Customer & Technical Support
Ensure timely, high-quality service delivery and transparent communication. Support sales with technical inputs, scope definition, cost estimates, and lead times. Participate in customer meetings, repair reviews, and failure analysis.
3. Financial & Performance Management
Monitor workshop performance including profitability, cost control, productivity, and turnaround time. Drive initiatives to reduce cycle time and improve margins. Ensure accurate cost tracking, job closure, and timely invoicing.
4. Safety, Quality & Compliance
Enforce SHEQ policies and regulatory requirements. Ensure safe work practices, risk assessments, and proper certification of tools and equipment. Support audits, certifications, and customer inspections.
5. Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and develop engineers and technicians. Identify skill gaps and coordinate technical training with OEMs to build specialized expertise.
6. Process Improvement & Reporting
Continuously improve processes, work instructions, and quality systems. Analyze repair data for trends and lessons learned, implement improvements, and provide regular performance reports to management.
To succeed, you will need
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience of 10+ years in repair of rotating equipment, specifically turbo compressors and expanders.
- Strong mechanical engineering background is mandatory. electrical, instrumentation, and controls knowledge is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in engineering (or equivalent).
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office tools.
- Fluency in English.
