Job description

We are looking for an experienced dynamic person to shoulder the responsibility of service engineer in mechanical as well instrumentation field for GAP India.

This position will be based in Pune, India and will report to National Service Operations Manager/NationalTechnical Support Manager

Principle responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Perform day to day field service activities as scheduled by National Technical Service manager & National Operations Manager

1. Service Performance
Handle critical domestic & international service interventions with high quality and customer satisfaction
Coordinate with product companies to resolve issues until closure
Follow global standards and guidelines to maintain international service quality
2. Service Efficiency
Ensure first-time fix with strict adherence to procedures and manuals
Maintain high service and maintenance standards for gas/process equipment
Share business leads and support data collection for new opportunities
3. Erection / Start-up / Handover
Execute installation, start-up, and handover as per company protocols
Coordinate effectively with customers and project managers
Take full ownership and ensure smooth closure while protecting commercial interests
4. Repair Workshop
Perform overhaul, repair, and reconditioning of turbo compressors & expanders
Plan, schedule, and execute repair activities as per SOPs and drawings
Operate and maintain machines (balancing, lathe, blasting) and ensure proper documentation
5. Compliance & Safety
Follow company vision, values, and code of conduct
Adhere to policies, procedures, and assigned responsibilities
Prioritize health and safety in all activities

To succeed, you will need

Experience requirements
Technical competence and knowledge of Gas and process products in the field of service
mechanical/instrumentation and PLC control
Experience on repair shop operations such as balancing machine Operation, Lathe, Milling, Drilling machine & other
necessary repair shop machines will be an added advantage
Problem solving ability
Good communication/coordination skill
Educational requirements
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical and/or related Engineering with 5/7 years of relevant experience 
Good IT skills
