As a Sourcing Manager- Industrial Air,You will report to Head Sourcing
You will be responsible for -
- Develop strategic plan to manage a commodity-based supplier platform and to achieve quality, delivery, and cost improvement for both production and aftermarket requirements.
- Develop contracts and manage healthy relationships with suppliers to provide a stable product supply, technical product knowledge and year-over-year cost reductions.
- Research and evaluate potential suppliers (technically and financially) to meet Atlas Copco’s needs and drive continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and monitor performance of existing suppliers and take corrective action as required to consolidate supply base to best performing suppliers. Ensure quality of parts and delivery received from the suppliers on time.
- Ensure the purchasing function’s early involvement and participation in new product development (co-engineering), cost savings, inventory reduction, process improvement, etc. with committed On Time In Full execution.
- Provide local market supplier knowledge and international sourcing support to divisional commodity teams.
- Safeguard that the implemented purchasing processes and systems within the product company are state of the art and aligned with divisional best practices.
- Evolve PC Chakan as a module based and core competence center.
- Develop and lead a high-performing team of cohesive, competent, committed, and results-oriented professionals, fostering diversity and inclusion.
- Develop Kaizen capabilities in our supplier base.
To succeed, you will need
Qualifications/Knowledge & Work Experience:
- Degree in Engineering with 12-15 years of experience. Management Qualification would be an added asset.
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and business finance is a plus.
- The ideal candidate should have a solid knowledge of supply chain processes and systems in a Product Company environment.
- You should have a sound knowledge of any ERP and an advanced competence of MS-Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint).
A good understanding of "The Way we do things" with extra attention for "Business Code of Practice" and "Supplier Risk Evaluation"

Effective Leadership in Sourcing requires Integrating cognitive skills (head) with emotional intelligence (heart).Records of contract negotiation and execution with suppliers with respect to requirements of quality, cost, delivery and supplier relation management.Experience in developing and implementing a sourcing strategy in an operational environment delivering improved sustainable results.
