Job Title: Senior Sourcing Engineer – Indirect Sourcing
Purpose:
The Senior Sourcing Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing sourcing activities at GECIA for non-core/indirect procurement such as resource augmentation, software licenses, project services, training, and material procurement. The role emphasizes strong contractual negotiation, vendor management, purchasing compliance, and operational efficiency improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end sourcing operations for indirect categories including external resources, software licensing, project materials, and ad-hoc purchases.
- Evaluate, develop, and manage the vendor base, including commercial negotiations, contract finalization (NDA/SLA), and onboarding.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, contractual terms, and service agreements with vendors and suppliers.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and identify efficiency improvements throughout the purchase-to-pay (P2P) cycle.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational procurement policies.
- Maintain vendor master data, track supplier performance, and conduct regular supplier audits and reviews.
- Create and maintain purchasing documentation, including contracts, audit reports, and operational records.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as Competence Leaders, ACBS, Finance, and Business Users to align sourcing needs with business goals.
- Support license management processes, including procurement and renewals of software tools and systems.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sourcing and drive continuous process improvements.
- Provide backup support to the indirect sourcing function when required.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology (Mechanical / Production / Electrical).
- Minimum 4 to Maximum 8 years of experience in indirect sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
- Hands-on experience managing external resource vendors, software licensing procurement, service agreements, and project purchases.
- Strong understanding of purchase-to-pay (P2P) cycle management and operational risk control.
- Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and agreements.
- Experience in cost optimization, process efficiency, and supplier performance improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel and MS Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong planning, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have):
- Exposure to License Management systems/tools.
- Experience in ERP procurement modules.
- Knowledge of sourcing in a global/multicultural environment.
