Role Overview

• We are seeking a technically strong and hands-on Steam Service Engineer with an electrical background and boiler operations experience to support field service activities across Maharashtra.
• The role focuses on boiler maintenance, commissioning, operations support, and continuous improvement, ensuring high reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction in steam rental projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Boiler Operations & Field Support

• Support operation of steam boilers (0.5–8 TPH or as applicable) at customer sites
• Ensure safe and efficient boiler running as per required parameters
• Provide on-site technical troubleshooting and breakdown support

2. Maintenance & Upkeeping

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of boilers and auxiliaries
• Ensure proper upkeep of burners, panels, pumps, valves, electrical systems
• Maintain equipment reliability and maximize uptime

3. Commissioning & Trials

• Support installation, commissioning, and trial runs of steam systems
• Coordination with internal teams, vendors, and customers during project execution
• Ensure systems are commissioned as per design and safety standards

4. Customer & Operator Support

• Guide and train boiler operators at site on safe operation and best practices
• Provide technical guidance, learning sessions, and knowledge sharing
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures

5. Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare and maintain:
  • Service reports
  • Commissioning checklists
  • Maintenance logs
  • Performance reports
• Review and update technical documents, SOPs, and safety procedures
• Ensure compliance with boiler regulations and statutory requirements

6. Continuous Improvement

• Capture learning from field operations and provide feedback for improvement
• Support standardization of processes across sites
• Contribute to enhancing service quality and operational efficiency

To succeed, you will need

Experience & Skills

• Diploma / bachelor’s degree in electrical / mechanical engineering
• 2nd Class Boiler Operator Certificate - Preferred
• 4–5 years of experience in:
  • Boiler operation & maintenance
  • Steam systems / thermal utilities
  • Field service or plant operations
• Strong understanding of:
  • Boiler systems & auxiliaries
  • Electrical panels, control systems, and instrumentation
• Hands-on troubleshooting capability
