Supply Chain Planning Engineer
As a Supply Chain Planning Engineer, You will report to Manager-SupplyChain
You will be responsible for -
Material Planning & Control-
Formulate Material Procurement Plans based on Manufacturing/marketing requirement for maintenance of Kanban System, JIT Supply & two bin supply for required volumes
Follow up with vendors for material shortages as per pending orders statement, missed KANBANS and visit them whenever required.
Track the rejections & take timely actions to avoid stock discrepancies.
Co-ordinate with sourcing, quality control, 3PL & other functions in manufacturing for timely actions related to production materials.
Track performance of critical suppliers and their action plans to reach QDC objectives
Actively participate in resourcing projects to have minimum impact on production
Inventory Management -
Conduct system stock and physical stock verification on a regular basis through Cycle Counts to ensure correct stocks in system.
Analyze and report reasons for stock discrepancy and take actions accordingly. Timely & correct system transactions to avoid stock mismatch & negative inventory.
Transport Management:- Managing logistics operations involving coordinating with companies for sea/ air/ road transport, forwarder and other external agencies to achieve seamless flow of parts .Optimize transport routings to have best utilization of the available transport resources.
3PL Coordination -Resolving document discrepancy issues of suppliers at warehouse. Coordination for critical parts and NPD supplies.
NPD - Involved in managing & leading Projects for New Product Introduction on Assembly Line through the Production Prototype Material ordering, Pilot Batch Material planning, Serial Production Material ordering strategy, Inventory levels, triggering system, System parameters updation.
Systems -Effective use of SCM tools like Be2net, QlikView, Planning BOM, MES etc to avoid multiple and error free communications. Lead Supply Chain CIP projects for excellence in supply chain planning.
To succeed, you will need
Qualifications/Knowledge & Work Experience:
Degree in Production/Mechanical Engineering
2+ years of experience in purchase / supply chain.
Knowledge in supply chain processes and Manufacturing is a plus.
Fluent in English, and Indian languages like Hindi and Marathi.
Use of IT tools like ERP (SAP), MS-Excel, Word etc
