Your role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader – Embedded Systems to lead our Embedded Team. The ideal candidate brings over 10 years of experience, with a strong foundation in embedded software design, development, and testing, combined with proven experience in leading multiple engineers across diverse projects. This role is suited for professionals with a solid track record in engineering companies, delivering embedded solutions for electromechanical and industrial products.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of embedded engineers to deliver high-quality embedded software and systems.
  • Drive end-to-end project execution including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, validation, and deployment.
  • Ensure alignment of team deliverables with organizational goals, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (hardware, product, testing, and systems engineering).
  • Act as a technical leader, reviewing designs and code, providing hands-on support where required.
  • Foster an environment of continuous learning, innovation, and process improvement within the team.
  • Manage resource allocation, project planning, and risk identification/mitigation.
  • Interface with stakeholders, provide regular updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.

To succeed, you will need

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics, Computers, or related Engineering discipline.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in embedded systems development and delivery.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in:
    • Embedded C/C++, RTOS, device drivers, microcontrollers, microprocessors.
    • Communication protocols (CAN, Modbus, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, etc.).
    • Hardware-software integration.
    • Tools such as debuggers, oscilloscopes, version control systems (Git, SVN).
  • Proven track record of leading multiple engineers/teams across several successful projects.
  • Prior experience in engineering/industrial product companies (preferably electromechanical or automation domain).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication abilities.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Familiarity with IoT platforms, cloud connectivity, and edge computing.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Atlas Copco Group in Pune, India (IN).
