Position Overview:
The Team Leader - Electrical & Instrumentation Competence will play a pivotal role within the Airtec Division of Atlas Copco (India) Private Ltd., contributing to the Compressor Technique business area. This role, situated in the INE GECIA R&D department, is tailored for a dynamic professional who will lead, mentor, and coordinate electrical and instrumentation engineering initiatives, fostering innovation and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the electrical and instrumentation engineering team within the R&D department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical solutions aligned with project goals.
- Develop and maintain competence in electrical and instrumentation systems, fostering continuous learning and skill development within the team.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including research, development, and manufacturing, to integrate electrical and instrumentation components effectively into compressor technology products.
- Oversee project planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure timely completion with adherence to technical specifications and quality standards.
- Drive innovation by identifying emerging technologies and providing strategic insights into their application within electrical and instrumentation domains.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies related to electrical systems and instrumentation throughout all project phases.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate project progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
- Support recruitment, performance reviews, and professional development activities to build a motivated and skilled team aligned with Atlas Copco's values.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within electrical and instrumentation engineering, preferably in a research and development environment.
- Strong understanding of compressor technology and related electrical and instrumentation systems is highly advantageous.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.
- Proficient in relevant engineering tools and software used in design, simulation, and testing of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
