Your role

Join us as a Team Leader overseeing the GECIA mechanical design team within the Engineered Systems GAP-ASIA division and CPC pump segment. In this role, you will champion a culture of on-time delivery and a first-time-right approach, ensuring high standards from project inception to completion. You will engage in all engineering phases, continuously enhancing project realization and steering the team's strategy towards a solution-centric mindset.

Your leadership extends beyond internal coordination; you will act as a key facilitator at customer sites, orchestrating seamless collaborations across various competencies within GECIA to deliver integrated engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Team and Project Management: Lead project execution through effective resource allocation, monitoring progress, conducting timely reviews, and ensuring all deliverables meet quality and deadline expectations.
  • Competence Development: Foster a high-performance culture by mentoring team members, identifying skill gaps, and implementing tailored development plans.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain transparent and proactive communication with internal teams, management, vendors, and customers to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion initiatives to refine processes, tools, and SOPs, elevating team efficiency and effectiveness.

All activities will be coordinated from the Chichwad office, where you will represent Atlas Copco's commitment to quality and innovation.

Emphasis will be placed on psychological well-being within the team to nurture motivation and engagement, paving the way for successful project outcomes and long-term growth.

To succeed, you will need

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and engineering, ideally with exposure to GAP projects and compressor packaging.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing operational issues with a strong knowledge base of the compressor industry being an advantage.
  • Proficiency in people and project management, complemented by technical expertise in CAD software and product lifecycle management tools like Enovia.
  • Familiarity with centrifugal compressor packaging, skid packages, heavy fabrication, and piping systems.
  • Educational background including a BE in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with extended experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including conflict resolution, communication, and team motivation.
