Your role

As a Team Leader - Trax, your mission is to lead and manage the TRAX Engineers team responsible for creating, reviewing, and maintaining high-quality product Troubleshooting Guides. Ensure technical accuracy, process efficiency, and alignment with the divisional vision to enhance customer experience and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Trax team, overseeing the creation of Troubleshooting guides.

  • Team Leadership & Management
    • Lead a team of TRAX Engineers, providing clear direction, goal setting, and continuous feedback.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
    • Maintain strong team morale and instil a “Can Do; Will Do” attitude.
  • Planning, Coordination & Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Align team objectives with the TRAX and CTS vision; translate strategy into actionable plans.
    • Coordinate with Divisional Reviewers, Product Companies, and Global Technical Support Teams to identify new and updated guide requirements.
    • Ensure smooth collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders for information gathering, reviews, red flags and approvals.
  • Quality & Technical Oversight
    • Strengthen and standardize the review process to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to writing standards.
    • Act as Quality Reviewer and Technical Specialist for all troubleshooting guides.
  • Process Improvement & Innovation
    • Drive efficiency and automation initiatives within the TRAX environment.
    • Identify and propose process improvements based on feedback from technical support and business stakeholders.
    • Lead divisional or Business Area (BA) level projects for system integration and digital transformation of documentation workflows.
  • Communication & Reporting
    • Serve as a key communication link between TRAX Engineers, stakeholders, and management.
    • Provide timely updates on deliverables, milestones, and challenges.
    • Discuss unresolved issues, risks, and improvement actions with the Service Delivery Head.
  • Competence Development & Cross-Team Collaboration
    • Develop and implement a structured competence development plan for team members.
    • Work on cross-functional and GECIA-level initiatives like Skill Matrix, Competency Maturity Model (CMM), and capability-building programs.
    • Support knowledge sharing and mentoring to strengthen the overall competence of the TRAX team.

To succeed, you will need

 

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 10-15 years of Experience in product service and Aftermarket processes.
  • Strong Knowledge of Compressor product operations and service.
  • Outstanding skills in writing about complex technical and business subjects to a variety of audiences.
  • Proficiency in using the offline/digital technical authoring tools and software, including all Microsoft tools would be an added advantage.
  • Data analytics, POWER BI knowledge would be an added advantage.
  • Strong technical background and understanding of engineering principles, mechanical systems, and technical terminology.
  • Excellent people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team toward achieving goals.
  • Experience of technical editing/writing in a similar role would be an added advantage.
  • Ability to interact with different business groups and scope documentation assignments.
  • Fluency in written / verbal English.
  • Affinity for technology and a experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
