Your Role
Purpose / Mission
As a Technical Leader your mission is to improve and sustain the quality of services offering and lead special projects in Product Management competence at Atlas Copco GECIA, where in on-time Delivery & First Time Right Approach is necessary.
Role:
You will handle complex projects for Continuous Product Improvement, interact with Team leaders within competence and customers, and present & discuss the proposed design/ideas for product and competence development. You will act as Product/Process expert within Atlas Copco GECIA. Product Management competence.
Your main tasks would be, participating in VAVE, Cost Reduction engineering projects, while improving Project Realization of our product and driving the Solution-centric approach of the team.
Your main tasks would be to execute Continuous Improvement projects along with conducting design reviews of executed project by the team, competence development of the team, communication with all internal and external stakeholders. Improve, maintain, and develop the team to take more challenges to become preferred solution partner in product companies. It will be your challenge to further develop & expand the scope of activities while working as a good Technical Leader.
You should be Technology focused, Product focused, Process focused, Customer focused, People focused.
You will report to the Service Delivery Head.
Responsible:
1. Project Planning Support:
Based on complexity of project attend PCM, TQM and define project deliverables, key milestones, and assist project plan to Team Leader. Define the work to be carried out by vendors; understand competencies and skill sets required for the project; interact with Team leader and share the final project plan to delivery it on-time and first time right.
2. Project Execution:
Monitor work activities, deliverables, adherence to the SOPs, resolve technical queries raised by cross functional teams with respect to project execution; guide cross functional teams to resolve interdependent issues, monitor progress against the time estimate and raise overruns to Team Leader; Provide inputs to the team leader and Service Delivery Head to update the SOPs and on trainings required for the team.
To deliver the project within the defined time and cost.
3. Internal and External reporting:
Discuss updates, raise red flags and unresolved issues with the team Leader and Service Delivery Head during project review meetings: update the project plan based on situation and seek sign off from the Service Delivery Head; Provide status update of in hand projects to the customer weekly; communicate deliverables to the stakeholder on achievement of key milestones.
4. Design Review:
Conduct Design review of Continuous Improvement projects, monitor and control quality checks of deliverables with respect product, process and PLM and provide feedback to the team; participate in Pre-order, Handover, End of engineering and end of production meetings, discuss quality scores with the Team leader, Service Delivery Head, and Project Team. Define improvement methods, procedures, systems and provide the training required for competence development. Conduct Monthly reviewer internal audit for quality sustenance of the competence.
To succeed, you will need
Experience & Technical Skills (Must-Have):
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in Product Life Cycle Management, Engineering Change Management, Product Sustenance Engineering, and Technical Support.
- In-depth knowledge of PLM & PDM tools such as BPCS, Enovia, Windchill, and SAP.
- Strong understanding of product compliance and familiarity with international standards such as CE, ASME, DIN, and ISO.
- Proven experience in piping, tubing, material selection, treatment, machining, and manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on proficiency in CAD tools like CREO, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, etc.
Preferred / Added Advantage:
- Prior experience with Atlas Copco products.
- Knowledge of methodologies such as Six Sigma, 5S, 8D Problem Solving, Value Analysis & Value Engineering (VA/VE), Lean Design, and Design Thinking.
- Familiarity with Atlas Copco standards and related industry practices.
- Exposure to digital tools like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Analytics (DA).
- Interest or experience in automation tools such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and CAD automation.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of relevant technical experience.
- Or a Mechanical Engineering Diploma with at least 10 years of hands-on industry experience.
