Visual Communication Designer

Your role
We are seeking a highly creative and detail‑oriented Visual Communication Designer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Art Director to develop high‑end visual designs that elevate communication across the Atlas Copco Group. You will be responsible for the entire design process-from understanding the brief to conceptualization and final execution-ensuring every deliverable aligns with brand guidelines, communicates effectively, and meets the highest quality standards.
Understanding
- Expected to thoroughly review and interpret design briefs before initiating any creative
development. - Proactively ask targeted, clarifying questions to ensure full alignment on project objectives, audience profile, communication tone, deliverable formats, and desired outcomes.
- Translate strategic inputs into strong visual communication concepts.
Creative Development
- Conceptualize and design visually compelling graphics for digital and print, including:
- Brand identity systems
- Brand guidelines
- Advertising materials
- Brochures, posters, and facility branding
- Social media creatives
- Marketing collateral for global campaigns and events
- Create original visual assets that effectively present complex ideas in simple, engaging ways.
- Develop creative concepts and thematic visual directions for global campaigns, events, and corporate initiatives.
- Design custom illustrations, icons, infographics, storyboards, and other visual elements to enhance storytelling.
Brand and consistency
- Ensure all designs align with brand identity and follow consistent visual standards.
- Contribute to evolving and strengthening visual identity assets and guidelines when needed.
Collaboration and workflow
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions, bringing fresh ideas and diverse perspectives.
- Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional creative teams to enhance overall output.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
- Incorporate feedback from Art Directors, clients, and team members with a positive, constructive mindset.
Quality and innovation
- Continuously explore and stay updated with global design trends, tools, and best practices.
- Ensure digital communication adheres to the latest industry standards and accessibility requirements.
To succeed, you will need
- 7–10 years of professional experience in a visual communication design role, preferably with independent responsibilities.
- International experience (working abroad or with global clients) is an advantage.
- Degree in Communication Design, Visual Design, or equivalent professional experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Working knowledge of After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Adobe XD is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a Windows-based environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- Experience working in or with a creative agency is an advantage.
- Strong conceptual thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to translate ideas into impactful visuals.
