Your role

  • We are looking for a Team Leader to join the DevOps team in Atlas Copco Group GECIA. This is a pivotal role within the engineering department, overseeing the DevOps and Azure Cloud teams. This individual will be responsible for steering the team towards operational excellence, fostering business growth, and providing technical guidance. The Team Leader ensures the seamless integration of DevOps processes and tools across cloud-based and on-premises environments.

    The Role

    • Lead the DevOps and Azure Cloud teams, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
    • Drive business growth by collaborating with cross-functional teams to align DevOps strategies with organizational objectives.
    • Provide technical leadership in all aspects of DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automation, and cloud services.
    • Ensure the team’s proficiency in a wide range of DevOps tools and processes, both in cloud environments and on-premises setups like Jenkins, Docker, BitBucket, GIT, Artifactory, Azure and similar CI/CD (Open Source) tools.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and proof of concepts to ensure the DevOps processes are up to date with latest best practices.
    • Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions.
    • Coordinate efforts within own team and immediate team members.
    • Understand and follow engineering conventions, architectures, and best practices; implement new conventions where necessary, teaching those methodologies to more junior members of the team.
    • Perform peer code reviews to ensure quality standards.
    • Act as the subject matter expert for area of assignment.
    • Advise and mentor more junior team members to maximize overall productivity and effectiveness of the team.
    • Cultivates strong business relationships with business stakeholders.

To succeed, you will need

Experience Requirements

  • You have a Computer Science Engineering qualification (B. E. or B. Tech or MTech) from a reputed university
  • The candidate needs to have at least 14 years of Industry experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience in building Azure Cloud and IAC solutions.
  • 7 or more years of experience in DevOps.
  • Excellent team management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to drive technical excellence, pushing innovation and quality.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Strategic thinking with a focus on business outcomes.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies.
  • Familiar with open-source tooling such as Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, Chef, Terraform, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Excellent scripting skills in Python and Shell/PowerShell.
  • You are passionate about embedded systems, Controllers, IoT, IIoT and Modern web applications.
  • Experience in working in Agile/Scrum teams and following agile process
  • Analytical thinking and Problem-solving aptitude.

Job location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Atlas Copco Group in Pune, India (IN).
