Senior Manufacturing Engineer-Assembly

Your role
Bring your curiosity to work as our next Senior Manufacturing Engineer-Assembly. You will be part of our Manufacturing Engineering team reporting to Section Head, NPI Assembly ME. In this role, your mission is to Lead assembly capability and capacity set up within PC Qingdao for new products and transferred products. You will contribute directly to how we create high‑quality products and solutions for our customers.
Short Description
This role is to support PC Qingdao being an advanced manufacturing site and a flagship factory for Semi-con vacuum products in China
Your day-to-day

- As an assembly Engineer or workstream leader, work with UK/US/CZ/KR/Germany team to transfer production line, include review and improve manufacturing process, technical specifications, BOM and routing, PFMEA, quality control plan, layout, etc.
- As an assembly Engineer or workstream leader, collaborate with Engineering team on new product design review, manufacuring strategy review, process design and revie. for NPI product development.
- Work or lead the work on assembly process design in a logical and strategic approach: assembly process development, fixture design, tooling proposal, SOP, PFMEA, CRW, SAP routing and product cost, training to production team, etc. Aiming at manufacturing readiness requirement.
- To set up and secure an effective and efficient process for pumps assembly, aiming at a work class manufacturing site for local and/or global market, for NPI products and/or transferred products.
- As the project leader or workstream leader, take full responsibility for the planning and execution of the product transfer or NPI project at PC Qingdao. Lead the development of the overall project master specification, investment budget, financial payback calculations, project plan, and resource budget, and secure formal approval from both the plant and the business division.
- During project implementation, maintain regular communication and collaboration with business division stakeholders, overseas sister companies and local cross-functional teams through project review meetings one-on-one discussions, and email to ensure efficient project progress.
Your skills and experience
- Education level: Full-time bachelor's degree or above in mechanical manufacturing or other engineering-related majors, with relevant academic degree certificates obtained
- 5 years or more of relevant experience in the mechanical manufacturing assembly process. Has experience in pumps, compressors, engines, motors‘ assembly process development is preferred.
- Experience in safety, lean production, advanced manufacturing (eg, digitalization in process) in workshop is required.
- Experience in leading quality and other improvement projects through multi-department teams is required.
- Experience in leading manufacturing process improvement/ quality improvement and other improvement projects through multi-department teams is preferred.
- Clear understanding and application of modern manufacturing techniques, specifically: material flow; ERP, Lean method, production line concept design and layout details design, etc.
- Well understand and interpret product drawings, structures, technology requirements in English, and work out SOP, communicate these effectively across a broad range of people.
- Good communication skills in both Chinese and English.
- Limited travel for both domestic and oversea.
