Senior Software & Control Engineer

Your role

As a Research and Development Engineer, you will be at the forefront of advancing our organization's scientific and engineering capabilities. You will

• Collating and validating requirements with stakeholders prior to commencing development
• Designing, documenting and reviewing software designs
• Software development – Designing, coding and testing software modules written in C++
• Hands-on testing using real equipment (vacuum pumps, etc.) and simulators to test and validate the software functionality
• Designing and executing performance and robustness tests
• Design and develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of our customers and the industry. 
• Ensure that all research and design methodologies comply with scientific and engineering standards. 
• Assist in the creation of business plans and budgets for product development. 
• Analyze and interpret quality and safety test results to ensure compliance with standards.
• Stay updated on industry developments and translate them into actionable opportunities for the company and customers.
• Monitor product development to ensure it meets technical, functional, cost, and timing targets.

• You have minimum of 5 years working as a Software Engineer
• OOP Design / C++ skill
• Software Testing (Unit/Integration/System)
• Industrial serial comm protocols skill
• Software Configuration Management and Change Control skill
• Agile software development methodology
• Ethernet networks
• Software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools

Job location
