Your Role

•    Actively participate in the development of new products via the project team meetings to avoid legacy product quality issue happened again.
•    Offer structured, professional and timely day-to-day technical support to the Customer Center. Support our CCs to solve quality problems by making relevant and traceable information available.
•    Offer structured, professional and timely day-to-day technical support to the Product Company. Support operation output and sourcing China for China localization strategy on time, on cost, on quality.
•    Provide the highest level of technical training to our Customer Centers ensuring they are equipped to provide service and technical support for our whole product portfolio.
•    Provide steering and guidance to the TCM (Technical Committee Meeting)
•    Report and follow up on technical problems in the PQM (Product Quality Meeting)
•    Analyze, report and actively improve our product quality via effective and consistent measurement and follow-up of warranty reporting
•    Manage the warranty claims and release service information bulletin (SIB).
•    Support the Technical Support organization in all markets we operate to ensure efficient, fast and effective in support of end customers.
•    Pro-actively visit Customers and CCs looking for quality, support and serviceability improvements, focusing on increasing customer experience and creating value for Atlas Copco Group

•    Teamwork: Develop positive relationships to promote collaboration between technical, marketing, sales, procurement, service and operations functions to rapidly identify, assesses and develop viable class leading products which deliver profitable growth. Support and guide the other departments in their technical needs. You actively support the other teams whenever this cooperation is the more effective or sustainable way to reach the company objectives.

•    Standards & Compliance: Ensure product portfolio continuously meets legislative, industrial and corporate standards through design, safety review and certification processes. Act as delegated signatory for key technical authority documentation.

•    Ensures that all areas under direct control, particularly yourself and your teams’ activities in the lab, are conducted and work in a safe and effective manner in compliance with the Company's Health and Safety policy as well as all applicable Chinese laws and regulations related to labor, safety and environment.

 •    As a team leader, live according to and consistently promote the behaviors associated with the 5 competences of Atlas Copco’s talent framework, within your own team and towards your colleagues and superiors.

•    Coach and develop the team to maximize its full performance. Oversee the knowledge and skill matrix of your team and actively steer training programs to close gaps and increase effectiveness, including but not limited to technical skills, product knowledge, communication, finance and cost calculation, relevant digital tools and constructive behavior. Continuously increase the maturity of your team and secure flexibility and agility.

•    Maximize transparency in all activities. Implement and safeguard the business code of practice in all areas under direct control and actively review and audit for compliance
 

 
To succeed, you will need  

Education level: 
•    Bachelor degree in engineering or science. Master is a plus. 

Relevant previous experience:
•    5+ years engineering experience and 3+ years engineering leadership experience level including of new product development, product management, technical support and aftermarket support activities.
•    Technical knowledge of vacuum pumps, systemised products and their applications in the market place, such as Diffusion, PVD, Etch, CVD.
•    Technical knowledge relating to rotating machinery and/or roots vacuum pumps (mechanical boosters) technology and/or electrical knowledge is beneficial.
•    Practical experience of relevant experimental techniques and reliability testing. 
•    Good understanding of most technologies essential to the design, development and support of the section’s products and the key performance parameters necessary to meet the market requirements.
•    Good understanding of engineering change control processes •    Knowledge of a wide range of regulations, standards and legislative requirements such as SEMI S2, CE, UL...
•    A proven ability to manage projects and activities, delivering on time, to specification with strict quality and cost targets (project and product costs).
•    Experience and understanding of procurement, supply chain, operation and manufacturing systems. 

Language skills:    
•    Fluency in English
•    Other languages are a plus

Other skills and knowledge:    
•    Able to communicate internally and externally as a technical authority and represent the customers viewpoint to the factory operations.
•    Ability to manage and motivate team members to achieve targets.
•    Shows a thorough understanding of the process of product support engineering as well as design and development and has highly developed problem-solving skills.
•    Management skills necessary to build a team of highly trained and motivated engineering staff.
