Basic Function:
Plan, implement, and improve daily workflow for the assigned production assembly area at the Quincy Compressor Product Company.


Job Responsibility:
Provide supervision and leadership to the assigned production team


Develop and utilize Team Lead role for effi ciency gains


Create a team-oriented environment which cultivates a safe work environment, eff ective cross-training, right-from-mequality culture, and lean manufacturing initiatives (including 5S) with focus on three areas:

1.Production Flow – Provide direction and goals for Production Team leads and assemblers. Establish eff ectivecollaboration for the Value Stream team, which includes line feeders, scheduler, planner(s), inventory control, andquality/testing. Oversee productivity/effi ciency of the assigned production assembly lines. Work towardscontinuous improvement of line productivity, efficiency, resource management, cost and quality control. Trackongoing eff orts through the development and routine update of relevant scorecards and performance charts


2.Supervision– Provide direct supervision for Production Team leads, assemblers, and testers - - including overseeingwork scheduling, manpower planning, performance management, recruitment, and hiring. Provide strongleadership for the assigned production assembly lines, facilitating the training, cross-training, and development ofassigned team members, with focus on developing the strongest, most effi cient production organization possible


3.Quality & Delivery Assurance– In close collaboration with the Quality Assurance Engineer and Technician(s)develop, implement and improve quality control processes. Work with other managers/supervisors to resolveproduction related and/or technical support issues


Accountability:
This position reports directly to the Production Manager

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s in manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
- Applicable, Proven Experience in Leadership and Manufacturing required
- Six Sigma Black Belt of Lean Black Belt certification a plus


Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Motivating personality able to work eff ectively in a team environment
- Possess extraordinary leadership and communications skills
- Capacity to see the broad view of operations to appropriately strategize actions and take decisions
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Show a good level of empathy while enforcing company policies and strategic directions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, etc.
- Experience with BPCS a plus

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Oversees the production team and value stream performance of the Recip Unit Assembly Lines

Physical Demands:
- Required to be constantly moving about the facility (standing, walking).
- Lifting of items (not to exceed 50 lbs.


Personal Protective Equipment:
- While on shop fl oor, must always wear safety glasses and steel toed shoes.
- No loose clothing, watches, jewelry, rings, etc. that could get caught in machines


Work Environment:
- Mainly a plant environment, with some office exposure.
- Exposed to any number of elements (heat, cold, rain, etc.) indoors and out.
