You are responsible for creating and managing the relations with suppliers, and for safeguarding their product- and process quality. Additionally, you optimize supply chain processes, identify opportunities for product- and process innovation and pursue continuous reduction of total cost.
Team Leadership
- Lead a team (3-4 people) with responsibility for overall performance of the team. Set goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results. Grow the team in alignment with the growth of the operations. Be part of the MMT (GM-1) – see OrgChart
- Coach and develop the team's competency including negotiation, project management, etc.
- Conduct an overarching role in supplier selection through alignment of all category strategies from the team with BA/divisions objectives
Category sourcing
- Analyze and develop sourcing strategies for allocated categories – in coordination with Operations and the Transformation Management Team
- Evaluate market and product knowledge to explore and develop potential domestic and international suppliers to meet the PC’s needs
- Deliver purchasing projects on time, target savings and generate ideas to promote innovative thinking
- Communicate and influence key business stakeholders and lead cross functional teams to develop and execute strategies, ensuring that decisions meet business requirements
- Execute purchasing activities. Conduct spend analysis, analyze markets, execute RFQ’s and lead supplier negotiations to until contracting
- Identifying new areas of opportunity to reduce the Cost of Goods, implement operating efficiency or improve productivity
- Secure that the supply base fulfils corporate governance standards, including environmental and ethical standards of the Atlas Copco group
Operation Support/Strategy
- Support the new Strategy of Assembly based production => supplier integration into production logistics
- Develop existing and new suppliers to meet the requirements of the production logistics
- Participate actively in the Transformation Team to change (logistic) processes – internally and externally
Project support
- Take the (sourcing) lead in NPI’s to optimally support the project team with sourcing activities such as product cost follow-up and coordination with other buyers
- Ensure that sourcing deliverables are aligned and in place according to the project timeline and project phase gates
Intercompany relations
- Build and maintain strong relations with other Product Companies in the Division, Business Area or in the region.
