Are you a technically-minded sales professional with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service?

At Edwards SAS, General Vacuum Europe, part of the Atlas Copco Group, we’re looking for a driven and customer-focused Service Sales Engineer to support and grow our service business across the South of France.

 

In this field based role, you will focus on the sale of service solutions for a wide range of vacuum pumps, working closely with customers to move from reactive to proactive maintenance approaches. A key part of your success will be promoting long-term value through multi-year service and maintenance agreements.

What you’ll be doing

  • Build and manage strong relationships with existing and prospective customers across your territory, with a clear focus on achieving sales targets
  • Proactively engage customers through regular visits and interactions, promoting tailored service solutions that meet their needs
  • Drive customer loyalty by promoting long-term service strategies, including multi-year maintenance agreements aligned with divisional goals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM, managing your sales pipeline and ensuring consistent follow-up to maximise win rates
  • Develop a strong network of key contacts within customer organisations to identify new opportunities and strengthen partnerships
  • Manage and qualify leads from multiple channels, including proactive outreach, website enquiries, and RFQs
  • Support and contribute to marketing campaigns, events, and customer-focused initiatives to drive awareness and demand

To succeed, you will need

  • Minimum 2 years’ B2B sales experience in an industrial environment
  • Based in the South of France (or willing to relocate)
  • Willingness to travel across the territory (approx. 50–60%)
  • Degree or diploma, ideally in a technical discipline
  • Strong customer focus, with the ability to build trusted relationships and deliver sustainable value
  • Driven and results-oriented, with a proactive approach and strong sense of ownership
  • Structured and organised, with experience using CRM tools to manage pipeline and deliver results
  • Strong communication skills and team collaboration mindset, with a good command of English
