The Role

Desoutter is seeking an energetic and ambitious business leader who is experienced in sales and market share growth.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales and key customer plans to grow segment share through new customer acquisition and wallet share capture.
  • Collaborate with customer experience team to cultivate and nurture interactions throughout the customer journey.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the technical sales team (hunters and farmers) to maximize sales opportunities in key target areas.
  • Optimize distributor partners and territory management to accelerate continuous growth in focused product areas.
  • Develop new sales in the focused segment of N.E.V. (new energy vehicles) at both final assembly and tiers
  • Drive transformation within the customer base, focusing our Industry 4.0 smart connected Eco system products, projects & services to deliver value added impact to our end users.
  • Lead two cross functional teams: 1) product marketing team to support transformational growth and 2) the application competency center to support unique customer projects.
  • Develop business opportunities with company service portfolio including data driven services.
  • Manages the profitability of the business line at both the Gross Profit and Operating Profit levels

Leadership Experience Required:

  • Position directly responsible for sales, product marketing and projects functions (3 direct and 14 indirect reports).
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams within the Customer Center and globally (Finance, HR, Senior Management, Product Company team and Operational Teams). 
  • Works in collaboration with and supporting our Aerospace, General Industry and Service teams via shared resources.
  • Collaborates with sales team leader in Mexico.

 

Experience:

5 years’ experience (9 years without a university degree) in business development and leading sales and marketing teams

The successful candidate will have demonstrated the following experience:

  • Strategic plan development and execution
  • B2B commercial development and end user sales growth
  • Channel strategy and development including distributor relationships while maintaining end user intimacy
  • Introduction and growth of value-added new products
  • Execution of large customer projects
  • Implementation of digital and automated marketing initiatives to support the customer journey
  • Leading and creating high performing teams through developing people, hiring top performers, coaching underperformers, etc.

 

Education:

University degree or equivalent work experience (witout a degree seeking a total of 9 years work experience in business development & leading sales and marketing teams)

Travel:

Up to or at times exceeding 50% overnight travel throughout North America, including Mexico and occasionally other international travel.  Must have valid driver’s license without restrictions and passport.
