Production and Quality Manager- Process Filtration

Your role
WalkerFiltration is looking for a Production & Quality Manager, Process Filtration to oversee manufacturing, assembly, testing, and quality operations for process filtration products. This role supports operational excellence by directing production activities, ensuring quality standards are consistently met, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Through strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and effective problem solving, the Production & Quality Manager helps deliver high-quality products, optimize performance, and foster a safe, engaged, and productive work environment.

- This role will be based in Rock Hill, SC.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Yes, production, testing and logistics personnel.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide operational leadership for the production, logistics, and test teams, ensuring strict quality and cleanliness standards are maintained within the clean room environment.
- Coach and train team members in safety, problem solving, standard operating procedures (SOPs), test methods, programming, and quality requirements.
- Operate and train personnel on state-of-the-art machinery and test equipment for the production of process filters.
- Coordinate and monitor production orders and schedules to ensure timely manufacturing and delivery performance.
- Support department planning and execution to ensure orders are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Support preventive maintenance activities and ensure machine setup and changeovers are completed efficiently and on time.
- Oversee the collection and accurate recording of critical process information to ensure alignment with compliance standards.
- Ensure all personnel follow SOPs and implement improvements as needed to maintain production quality, accuracy, and compliance.
- Oversee all facility and production standards, ensuring compliance with FDA CFR Title 21, ISO 13485, ISO 14644, USP Class VI and cGMP.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and lab operations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to foster a positive and collaborative culture.
- Must exhibit strong mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with machine maintenance, programming and repair is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with limited supervision while maintaining a high level of quality.
- Foster and maintain positive working relationships and effective communication with all levels of plant personnel.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, plus a minimum of five years of trade school education and/or related work experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in filtration, fluid handling, or related industries is highly desirable.
- Experience working with highly regulated products and ISO cleanrooms is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and GMP practices.
- Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with plastic welding and pleating machines is a plus.
- Previous experience with SAP, shipping systems, and Microsoft Office 365.
- PLC programming experience (Allen Bradley, Siemens) is desirable.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally).
Travel:
International travel may be required to other manufacturing facilities in Denmark or the UK for training and business needs. Travel may involve multiple trips lasting two to three weeks at a time. Candidates must possess and maintain a valid, up-to-date passport to meet the travel requirements of the role.
