Your role

This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of inventories in the Manufacturing Operating System. Primary job functions typically require exercising independent judgement. Employee must be flexible with working hours and conditions to meet customer’s and company’s requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring on shelf stock quantities in the Manufacturing Operating System are correct.
  • Accurately counting all parts inventory during the year.
  • Helping to determine and eliminate causes of inaccurate inventory quantities.
  • Identifying and isolating nonconforming inventory when discovered.
  • Continual improvement of the system.
  • Reporting the results of counts.
  • Searching for misplaces inventory as needed.
  • Ensuring items which have been counted are returned to storage in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Safeguarding all materials during counts, both those being counted and others in the area.
  • Working with assemblers so as not to interrupt the workflow.
  • Follow all company policies, including health and safety.
  • Work closely with cycle count team leaders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos and ability to write correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving many variables in standardized situations.
  • Organized and able to work accurately with attention to detail.
  • Able to get along with employees at all levels.
  • Able to collaborate with other department on production floor.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), at least three years of cycle counting experience in a warehouse and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to operate a PC computer having Microsoft products and have basic working knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, and Email.
  • Forklift license and experience is required.
  • BPCS knowledge and experience and/or inventory cycle counting experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times (frequently).
