Your role

Join us as a Line Feeder and play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless supply of materials to our assembly lines, supermarket, and sequencing areas, directly supporting our customer order fulfillment process.

In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for:

  • Timely and accurate feeding of materials from various suppliers and packaging types, delivering them to designated points on assembly lines to sustain continuous production flow.
  • Efficiently operating appropriate material-handling equipment to move loads safely and effectively across facilities.
  • Organizing, stacking, and storing materials carefully according to defined packaging specifications, ensuring space optimization and safety standards.
  • Proper handling and disposal of empty packaging within designated containers, contributing to a clean and safe work environment.

Enhancing Delivery Accuracy and Efficiency:

  • Utilize scanning and barcoding technologies to support accurate inventory tracking and reduce errors in material delivery.
  • Communicate proactively with supervisors and planners regarding material shortages, delays, or any issues that could impact production timelines.

Driving Cost and Process Improvements:

  • Manage inventory diligently, ensuring proper prioritization of incoming and outgoing materials to meet production demands while minimizing waste.
  • Contribute actively to Kaizen continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline operations and reduce unnecessary transport or handling.
  • Report innovative ideas and collaborate with team members to enhance workflows and material management within your area of responsibility.
  • Eliminate wasteful practices related to material movement and support lean manufacturing principles.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in logistics or material handling roles.
  • Valid forklift license with practical experience operating forklifts.
  • Familiarity with IT systems such as AS400 (BPCS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Technical understanding of compressors and knowledge of Atlas Copco’s product range is advantageous.
  • Awareness of lean manufacturing methodologies, automation trends, and technology adoption.
  • Understanding of safety processes and commitment to applying them consistently in the workplace.

Job location

This position is based onsite at our Rock Hill, South Carolina office, providing you with the opportunity to collaborate directly with a dedicated team in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
