Your role
The Quality Technician will provide inspections and process evaluations that will be used in determining the most effective and efficient way to produce high quality product leading to first time yields that meet or exceed the required Quality standards.
The Quality Technicians primary role is to assist the Production Team in ensuring that all products are produced according to the customer’s requirements. This role plays a vital part in providing the highest quality product to all customers.
Principle responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provide support to production
- Perform visual, layout, dimensional, non-destructive tests of materials produced in-house, as well as purchased products against specified quality characteristics.
- Process rejections and generate high quality non-conformance documentation.
- Identify problems in manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Communicate within the team to provide a solution.
- Implement required changes to eliminate process failures pertaining to product quality.
- Aid in the investigation of customer complaints
To succeed, you will need
Supervisory Responsibility: None
Minimum: 3 years’ experience in manufacturing
Education
Minimum: Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent of related experience
Skills
- MUST be well-organized and able to work accurately with attention to detail.
- Strong math, computer, and analytical skills.
- Self-directed with a positive attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Service-oriented and open to change.
- Team player, organized, trustworthy, honest, and responsible.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting detailed drawings.
- Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with BPCS is a plus.
- Must be able to get along with coworkers at all levels.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read and understand written instructions.
- Must possess a strong desire to learn.
- Must be persistent in pursuing required remedies to achieve the highest possible quality standards.
- Must be able to articulate the importance of process requirements as they relate to product quality to all assemblers
