Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Your role
You will
- Continuously reduce working capital tied-up by working actively with suppliers on the supplier excellence program: cutting supplier lead-times and lot sizes - and at same time boost inbound delivery performance towards our Service Centers.
- Responsible for assigned direct purchasing commodities and driving strategic sourcing exercises that fulfill company goals and needs in a cost-effective way.
- Provide fast and accurate Master Data Updates to our Service Centers at all times.
- Assure accurate and pro-active communication between our suppliers and Service Centers.
- Pro-actively be involved in phase-in and phase-out projects related to products developed in the product company / division you are located.
- Ensure PTS Sourcing Principles are prompted.
- Assist in the SPP (spare parts proposal) process for the US and work together with the product company and divisional teams to ensure correct spare parts setup for new machines.
- Work hand in hand with our Product Company Sourcing & Service Center teams to ensure our common goals are met.
- Actively support our Regional/Global Service Centers to assure highest availability of spare parts and consumables to our worldwide customers.
- Responsible for follow-up on corrective actions for quality supplier issues.
- Take clear ownership for PTS for all purchasing & logistics related issues linked to the PC/Division.
- Assure that our supplier base fulfills not just local laws and regulations but the corporate governance standards of the AC Group, including environmental and ethical standards, described in the business code of conduct.
- Support localization projects within the NASA market.
- Report on monthly basis the progress and achievements with clear quantified benefits.

- Commercial and/or technical experience within a purchasing/service organization
- Technical knowledge of construction equipment and/or business practices is a benefit
- Good knowledge and understanding of business systems SAP, BPCS, etc. is a plus
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage supplier relationships, which includes relationship building, tracking performance and development
- Experienced with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Educational requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics or Engineering or equivalent through experience.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times (occasionally).

Job location
This role requires you to work on-site at our office in Rock Hill SC, United States (US); however, frequent presence at the Service Center is required (Charlotte, NC, and Fort Mill/Indian Land, SC). Supplier visits are also required and may include some international travel.
