Logistics Specialist

Your role
Mission
In this role you will work with the CTS Supply Chain Operations Manager in supporting the regional CT Service Operations structure to manage all logistics and inventory activities including managing the annual physical inventories, performing inventory investigations, executing SAP and Sharepoint transactions, utilizing best practice Logistics programs, reporting, and with a constant focus on driving down overall inventory levels without impacting Service.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Main point-of-contact for Inventory for CT Service Operations employees
- Be a subject matter expert for Logistics best practices in inventory control and investigations to find root causes and problem solve issues on a daily basis.
- Support the “clean up” cadences to manage and minimize inventory positions.
- Monitor the exception reports and take positive action on new exception activity.
- Manage to timeline the annual physical Inventory cadence for depots and vans.
- Work with all external vendors to receive RMA approvals and follow their necessary processes to correctly return materials from the field and in SAP.
- Make all necessary SharePoint and SAP transactions to ensure accurate inventory transactions and follow correct process flow.
- Maintain and monitor strategic stock initiatives, including new tickets and obsolescence planning.
- Provide reporting on all responsible activities, processes, and programs on a regular cadence and as required.
- Support process improvement projects to streamline transactions, process, technology and data flow, etc.
- Inventory reconciliation activities during the physical inventories and stock takes.
- Support the CTS RMA (vendor returns) Logistics Specialist as needed
- Create LTL shipments and manage the bill of lading from pickup to delivery
- Responsible for depot and van inventory replenishment in SAP plus reporting.
- Support other projects, processes, and activities as required related to CTS Logistics and Service Operations at the Corporate level supporting the regions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
To succeed, you will need
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND PREFERRED COMPETENCIES
Previously demonstrated proficiency in a cross-functional ERP system is preferred
SAP inventory, logistics, and operations knowledge and experience is preferred
Excellent understanding of Business Process and Project Management skills
Highly proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office Suite applications
Demonstrated success in managing process, follow up activities, and timely execution with accuracy
Able to understand and investigate topics related to inventory, logistics, and operations. Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve identified issues using process-oriented and continuous improvement thinking
Excellent analytical and methodical problem-solving skills with a “can do” attitude
Able to communicate competently with internal and external team members, and management teams
Ability to multi-task, prioritize requirements, and work both independently and as part of a team
Minimum of 2-year Associates degree in a quantitative discipline. Bachelor’s degree is preferred
