Production Test Engineer

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation, implementation, and enhancement of comprehensive testing protocols that maximize product integrity, throughput efficiency, and adherence to all safety and industry standards.
  • Initiate and oversee pilot testing initiatives leveraging cutting-edge technologies and advanced data analytics to improve test accuracy, reduce costs, and promote a safer working environment.
  • Evaluate feasibility and manage projects related to new testing equipment integration, test floor layout optimization, and automation implementation to support scalable production processes.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing to standardize and refine testing methodologies that enhance reliability and quality.
  • Conduct detailed mechanical and electrical testing on compressors and dryers, ensuring precision and compliance with strict standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor key test parameters such as vibration, pressure, and temperature to assess equipment health and contribute to proactive maintenance and quality control.
  • Design, configure, and maintain sophisticated test setups involving electrical and mechanical interfaces and auxiliary systems that simulate authentic operational conditions.
  • Prepare detailed, accurate documentation and reports of testing activities using specialized software tools to support traceability, auditing, and continual quality improvement.
  • Manage calibration schedules and perform preventive maintenance for all test apparatus, safeguarding the consistency and integrity of test results over production cycles.
  • Serve as an expert liaison, effectively communicating complex test data and insights to engineering and operations teams to facilitate rapid issue resolution and improvement.
  • Supervise the final quality assurance process, ensuring every product complies with company standards and customer expectations before shipment.
  • Champion a culture of safety within the test environment by enforcing compliance with all corporate policies and government regulations to protect personnel and assets.

Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Engage closely with Process Engineering, Assembly, Quality, and Operations teams to align test engineering activities with production objectives and quality targets.
  • Provide expert training, mentorship, and support to manufacturing and testing personnel to improve skills, safety awareness, and quality standards.
  • Lead and participate in organization-wide workshops and innovation programs to encourage knowledge exchange and adoption of industry best practices.

Essential Qualifications

Educational Requirements

A master's degree or advanced qualifications in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Engineering Sciences, or a closely related discipline is highly advantageous.
