As a Warehouse Specialist at Atlas Copco, your primary mission is to manage warehouse operations efficiently, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials to support both production workflows and customer delivery schedules. Reporting directly to the Divisional Project Leader, you will be instrumental in maintaining operational excellence within our Systems Logistics/Material Handling department.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Inbound Receiving and Inspection: Oversee the receipt of incoming goods, verify shipment accuracy against documentation, and manage any discrepancies or damages with timely resolution.
- Inventory Management: Diligently maintain precise inventory records, conduct regular cycle counts, and investigate any variances to ensure data integrity.
- Material Storage and Organization: Utilize warehouse management systems to store inventory in designated locations, keeping the warehouse orderly to facilitate quick access and minimum handling.
- Order Picking and Staging: Accurately pick and prepare orders in alignment with production and customer requirements, including correct labeling and staging for shipment.
- Shipping and Dispatch Preparation: Ensure outbound shipments are packaged, labeled, weighed, and documented according to company standards and customer needs.
- Material Handling Operations: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to facilitate movement of materials within the warehouse and yard areas.
- Cross-functional Team Collaboration: Work closely with purchasing, logistics, and production colleagues to support seamless material flow and optimize supply chain operations.
- Safety and Continuous Improvement: Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols, actively participating in training, and contributing ideas for process enhancements that bolster productivity and reduce risks.
This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and continuous commitment to operational excellence, enabling Atlas Copco to meet stringent quality and delivery standards.
To succeed, you will need

- A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- Preferably 4-6 years of hands-on experience in warehouse or logistics settings, demonstrating a solid understanding of warehouse processes and inventory controls.
- Competence in operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, with strict adherence to safety guidelines.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills to navigate fast-paced warehouse operations.
Working environment considerations include the physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate in indoor and outdoor warehouse settings subject to varying temperatures. Flexibility to work overtime as necessary to meet business demands is expected.
