Aftermarket - Project Engineer

Your role
Are you an organized leader with great communication skills? Are you looking to build a career as a Project Engineer with a leading innovator in turbo expander technology? In this role, you will work with a team of engineers to create custom engineered solutions for the energy industry. You will manage multiple projects at different stages as they move through the design and manufacturing process.
This role reports to the Aftermarket Department Manager and is an integral part of a tight-knit project team. Team members include a Project Manager, Instrument and Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Core Engineering. You may work across teams and departments when supporting improvement projects or solving complex issues.
The compensation range for this position is $108,651.82 to $155238.41 annually. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus. To succeed, you will need
What you already know:
1. Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical, electrical, or a similar engineering field (or an equivalent combination of skills and relevant work experience).
2. General understanding of pumps, motors, coolers, heaters, and control systems as they apply to lube oil and seal gas systems.
3. General knowledge of process control and PLC/HMI-based control system architectures.
4. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe.
What you will own & improve:
1. Engineering Design: You will work with internal personnel and customer representatives across multiple disciplines to deliver projects on time and on budget. Responsibilities include facilitating design reviews; coordinating drawing and document creation, review, and approval; and ensuring deliverables remain within scope and on schedule to meet the technical requirements of each custom order.
2. Technical Customer Meetings: You will lead technical discussions with customers to identify solutions that meet customer needs and project requirements.
3. Continuous Improvement: You will identify and implement opportunities to improve engineering processes by reducing design cycle time and/or errors, while keeping manufacturability in mind.
