Material Handler
The Material Handler is responsible for overseeing and maintaining all stock inventories for the warehouse.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follows daily manufacturing work orders giving special attention to various materials.
- Maneuvers heavy materials with the use of a forklift, pallet, and hand truck as required.
- Unloads shipped materials as required.
- Pulls items from stock according to designated work orders.
- Maintains and ensures all machines are functioning according to established work and safety standards.
- Assists shipping area with package procedures as requested.
- Reports any concerns or discrepancies to management.
- Maintains equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
- Complies with company policies and procedures, while giving special attention to safety regulations.
- Work with direct supervision
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $16 - $24 per hour
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location
To succeed, you will need
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of basic math
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel and lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to follow guidelines to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
- Practices department and company-wide continuous improvement
- Willingness to train in multiple disciplines to drive company-wide cross-functionality
Education, Certifications, and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse or related work experience preferred
