Material Handler

The Material Handler is responsible for overseeing and maintaining all stock inventories for the warehouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follows daily manufacturing work orders giving special attention to various materials.
• Maneuvers heavy materials with the use of a forklift, pallet, and hand truck as required.
• Unloads shipped materials as required.
• Pulls items from stock according to designated work orders.
• Maintains and ensures all machines are functioning according to established work and safety standards.
• Assists shipping area with package procedures as requested.
• Reports any concerns or discrepancies to management.
• Maintains equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
• Complies with company policies and procedures, while giving special attention to safety regulations.
• Work with direct supervision
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $16 - $24 per hour

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location

To succeed, you will need

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Visual acuity and manual dexterity
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment  Work well in a team environment
• Knowledge of basic math
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel and lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to follow guidelines to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
• Practices department and company-wide continuous improvement
• Willingness to train in multiple disciplines to drive company-wide cross-functionality

Education, Certifications, and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous warehouse or related work experience preferred
