Your role

The Technical Training Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving technical training and qualification programs across manufacturing operations. This role will establish and maintain structured training systems that support employee development, product quality, operational excellence, and workforce readiness.

The Technical Training Specialist will partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Human Resources to develop and maintain skills matrices, certification programs, training documentation, practical assessments, and qualification processes. The role will initially focus on supporting the integration of newly transferred product lines while establishing a scalable training framework that can be deployed across all production areas

 

Main Responsiblities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain technical training programs, qualification standards, and certification processes across manufacturing operations.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to identify training neen  Develop, implement, and maintain technical training programs, qualification standards, and certification processes across manufacturing operations.ds and establish role-based training requirements.
  • Develop and maintain training documentation, including user guides, manuals, SOPs, work instructions, and other resources.
  • Translate SOPs into usable training documentation. 
  • Deliver instructor-led training courses to employees using pre or newly-developed course materials to support functional and competency requirements across operations.
  • Oversee all trainee activity to ensure a safe learning environment is maintained at all times; reset systems and equipment back to an agreed baseline training state in preparation for the next course. 
  • Conduct evaluation of training under industry best practices using processes and procedures implemented and operated by Semi Training & Development.
  • Supervise examinations and conduct competency assessments as appropriate to the course being instructed.
  • Support the development, revision, and implementation of manufacturing SOPs and work instructions to ensure alignment with training and certification requirements. 
  • Identify opportunities to enhance learning solutions ensuring ongoing continuous improvement in quality and efficiency.
  • Work with HRM to embed any group/VTBA learning to factory floor workers

  • Monitor training effectiveness, compliance, and workforce capability, recommending improvements to strengthen employee development and operational performance.
  • Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) to obtain class attendance lists and update attendee records.
  • Respectfully takes direction from (supervisor/ manager) and other duties as assigned.

Skills/ Knowledge/ Expierence:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Technical Education, Industrial Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, semiconductor, engineering, industrial, or technical training environment.
  • Experience developing and delivering technical training programs, on-the-job training (OJT), and competency-based learning programs.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
  • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to develop training materials, work instructions, guides, and training documentation.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, process documentation, and technical information.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles, instructional methods, and training effectiveness evaluation preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, drive projects independently, and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Salary: $70,00.00-$80,00.00/ annually
