The Role

Provide technical support for the commissioning process of specific automated equipment from the Seti Tec brand of tools for a key aerospace customer.  Responsible for collaborating with the customer team to conduct the successful on-site testing of Seti Tec products to show that it meets the applicable functional specifications of the customer.  This will be conducted in a lab setting at the customer site for eventual transition to the assembly line.  Work with the different members of the customer and Desoutter Aerospace team on the project management over the course of 2023 and then be able to support the product as it transitions to assembly in 2024 and 2025.  To be seen as a consultant and valuable advisor by the engineers and key decision makers of the customer.

Travel: Travel may include places in the Unites States and Quebec, Canada. Occasional international travel may be required to France and Portugal.

What we expect of you? 

You will make your biggest impact in:

  1. Responsible for supporting tooling applications on site at a key customer - focused on the specification, demonstration, and implementation process of automated drilling/fastening products within the Seattle area.  Key customers are main aerospace OEMs.
  2. Able to discuss in technical detail the product portfolio from the Seti Tec brand as it relates to the customers applications.
  3. Project Management. From design / prototype review to final process qualification. Key project contributor acting as a liaison in North America with the project team in Europe
  4. Customer Technical Support – Application testing, installed application support, and onsite training.
  5. Support a culture within the Desoutter Aerospace team, Seti Tec organization, and greater organization that shares information regarding applications, issues, and solutions.
  6. Work independently on site at the customer on a daily basis, but within a large global organization and coordinate project objectives with offices in Seattle, WA; Paris France; and Nantes France, R&D in Lisbon.

 

Experience 

  • 3+ years of experience in Project Management or Product Engineering
  • 3+ years working in Aerospace Industrial industry preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience working with Industrial tools

 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mehcanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering
