Your role
As a Field Service Engineer (FSE) based in Sendai, your mission is to provide expert technical support and maintenance services for our advanced vacuum technology products. You will report directly to the Department Manager of Edwards Japan - CC, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction.
In your role, you will:
- Perform on-site installation, troubleshooting, and repair of vacuum equipment to meet customer requirements efficiently and safely.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance visits and provide technical guidance to clients to maximize equipment uptime and performance.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team and product specialists to ensure continuous improvement and feedback loop on product performance.
- Document service activities and maintain detailed records to support quality assurance and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Engage with customers to understand their technical needs and provide training or advice on best practices for vacuum system operation.
This position plays a vital role in upholding Edwards Japan’s reputation for technical excellence and customer-centric service within the Vacuum Technique business area.

You bring between 3 and 5 years of experience working as a Field Service Engineer or in a related technical role within industrial or vacuum technology settings.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with hands-on experience servicing complex equipment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective customer interaction and teamwork.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals and using diagnostic tools preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in field assignments.

- On-Site: Work from our dedicated office and service centers in Sendai, collaborating directly with colleagues and clients.
