Sales Development Representative, Local-MSBR

Your Role
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for managing and qualifying inbound and outbound leads to accelerate revenue growth across SEA & Oceania. The SDR serves as the bridge between Marketing and Sales by converting Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs), ensuring timely lead follow-up, CRM data accuracy, and effective lead distribution to the appropriate sales teams.
The role contributes directly to lead conversion, pipeline development, customer experience, and commercial growth. This aligns with the SDR function of qualifying, verifying, and preparing leads before assignment to the sales organisation.
Your day-to-day
- Lead Qualification & Management
• Review and assess all inbound leads from:
- Website enquiries
- Chatbots and live chat
- Email campaigns
- Events and webinars
- Distributor referrals
- Digital marketing campaigns
- Sales Campaigns
• Contact prospects to:
- Verify contact details
- Understand customer requirements
- Identify buying potential
- Confirm project timelines and applications
• Qualify leads against agreed business criteria and convert MQLs into SQLs.
• Assign qualified leads to the appropriate:
- Business Line Manager (BLM)
- Sales Engineer
- Service Sales Engineer
- Distributor
- As per lead assignment rules
- CRM Ownership & Data Quality
- Create and maintain lead records in C4C/CRM.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with CRM processes.
- Monitor lead ageing and follow-up status with Sales.
- Track lead progression through the sales funnel.
- Maintain customer and prospect databases.
- Lead Assignment & Follow-Up
- Manage the regional lead assignment process; update the Co-pilot Agent lead assignment as and when the rules change.
- Ensure leads are distributed according to territory, business line, and account ownership rules.
- Monitor response SLAs and escalation processes.
- Follow up with sales teams on lead acceptance and progression.
- Prospecting & Business Development
• Research and identify potential customers within target industries.
• Conduct outbound prospecting activities through:
- Phone calls
- Email outreach
- Industry databases
• Generate new opportunities for the sales organisation.
• Support account penetration and market development initiatives.
- Marketing & Sales Alignment
• Collaborate with Marketing on:
- Campaign planning
- Lead nurturing programmes
- Customer journeys
- Campaign performance reporting
• Provide feedback on lead quality and campaign effectiveness.
• Support the optimisation of lead generation and conversion processes.
- Reporting & Analytics
Prepare regular reports on:
- Lead volume
- MQL to SQL conversion rates
- Lead response times
- Pipeline contribution
- Campaign-generated opportunities
- Lead source performance
- Provide recommendations for process improvement and conversion optimisation.

Your skills and experience
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
1–3 years of experience in:
- Lead management
- Sales development
- Telemarketing
- Business development
- Inside sales
- Marketing operations
Experience in B2B industrial, engineering, manufacturing, or technical industries is preferred.
Personality
- Someone that enjoys customer communications, and confident but not shy in phone conversations.
- Someone eager to learn the basics about our products to ensure he/she can tell if a lead is ready to go to sales or not.
