Purpose of the Job

This position will be responsible for the management to the comprehensive financial support Atlas Copco Group.

Main Responsibilities

Financial Statements & Accounting

 

  • Lead and support month-end/ quarter -end/ year-end close processes, including maintaining the general ledger and sub ledgers, prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and analyse account variances
  • Focus on all daily and month-end accounting procedures for the account results, including P&L activity, balance sheet activity (deferrals, accruals); AP/AR/cash application in compliance with IFRS
  • Ensure appropriate accounting treatment in accordance with IFRS
  • Present financial statements and analysis to executive management and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Follow improvement of the system in terms of accuracy, readiness, analysis, compliance and segregation of duties.
  • Ensure the compliancy and the robustness of the controlling and accounting system for each location, through ERP system (i.e. SAP).
  • Drive excellence on finance processes performed by accountant related to accounting and finance process, ensure adherence to on time. Develop best practices and knowledge sharing across Asia countries.

Reporting & Consolidation

  • Collaborate with finance and internal stakeholders to develop moderately complex financial dashboards, global reporting, and analysis
  • Ensure regulations, standards, company policies and delegation of authority are being followed.
  • Monthly reporting to Local Finance and Group Finance with analysis of performance KPIs
  • Ensure accuracy, readiness of the reporting requested by Group and Division Finance.
  • Ensure readiness of local financial statements regarding local and tax regulation.
  • Design and implement new or revised accounting systems and procedures; develop and implement procedures; develop short- and long-range plans for Finance.

Audit & SOX

  • Coordinate and supervise the relation with External Auditors within their annual assessment: Hard-Closing Audit, Year-End audit, interim audit. Review of the auditor’s reports.
  • Coordinate and supervise Internal Audit, led by Group Internal Audit Department. Review internal audit reports and supervise corrective actions implementation and follow-up.
  • Ensure effective internal control; Accounting policies and procedures comply with legal and corporate guidelines/policies as well as ensure appropriate internal controls complying to SOX requirements.

Business Knowledge, Educational Background and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting
  • 5+ years general accounting or finance experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Korean. 
  • Proficient in MS office and SAP
  • Thorough knowledge of the finance on theory and system.
  • AICPA or CPA is preferable
