Your role

 

  • Lead the full lifecycle of vacuum valve products—from ideation and development to launch and end-of-life.
  • Develop new product variants, derivatives, and options based on market needs, ensuring timely market delivery.
  • Conduct market research and competitor benchmarking, including user experience and customer behavior studies.
  • Gather feedback from Sales, Regional Product Managers (RPMs), Distributors and Marketing to identify needs, issues, and growth opportunities.
  • Drive the creation, validation, and continuous monitoring of business cases for new product developments and internal synergies (e.g., VTBA valve projects).
  • Utilize internal governance tools such as PCP (Product Commercialization Procedure), PCM (Project Council Meeting), and regular reviews to ensure accountability.
  • Collect, analyze, and prioritize product requirements from customers and market inputs.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Master Requirement Specification (MRS) for guiding product development based on detailed RFQs and business cases.
  • Maintain and publish product roadmaps for both internal stakeholders and strategic customers.
  • Set direction and priorities for product evolution, including release planning and positioning.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product coordinators to ensure robust change control processes.
  • Manage copy-exacts, engineering changes, and product phase-out planning to minimize disruption and risk.
  • Develop compelling product presentations, technical documents, and sales training materials.
  • Define pricing guidelines and value-based positioning to support profitable growth.
  • Ensure product compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., SEMI, RoHS, REACH).
  • Align with Atlas Copco’s ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) initiatives and reporting requirements

To succeed, you will need

This is a newly created role of Divisional Production Management for vacuum valves.

This is a key management role with the responsibility for managing the full lifecycle of the vacuum valve product portfolio (e.g Isolation gate valves, Transfer valves, control valves) in semiconductor or semi alike industries for the Atlas Copco/Edwards with Presys brands.

The mission is to lead the commercial success of the product group (within Vacuum valves & integrated Edwards product) by working closely with customer centres, sales, R&D, business development, market communication, operations and service team.

This role acts as the strategic bridge customers ensuring that product lines meet current and future customer needs while supporting the business growth and profitability objectives and it is central to a business, balancing financial goals with technical feasibility, customer demands, and organizational impact.

You will support and drive the acquisition synergy plans with a divisional view and responsible for establishing processes for efficient product and project management in this new business areas in Atlas Copco.

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or similar experiences.
  • Prior experience in Sales including Business Development, Engineering or Marketing roles within vacuum (valve) technology companies.
  • 7+ Years’ experience within either a combination of the Semiconductor, Coating, R&D and general Diffuse industry or the OEM community. 
  • Proven experience as a Product or Market research or Project manager in similar role
  • Proven ability to collaborate across technical and commercial functions to deliver customer-centric solutions.
  • Excellent communication & proven English skills, presentation skills (written/verbal), problem-solving/logical thinking, and analysis skill for Market/ Product data.
  • Leadership, Communication, Influencing skills, Business and product data analysis
  • SAP Experience and programing is a strong plus
