GAS_Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineer 1

Job description & mission

• Key task of this role will be hands on job to carry out the preventive maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and providing technical support for Atlas Copco Gas and Process Division Aftermarket products including turbo compressors and expansion turbines within the Asia-Oceania region.
• You will also be involved in the installation and pre-commissioning of customized solutions throughout the region. 
• You will be in continuously contact with the regional organization head office located in Bangkok/Thailand.
• As part of the local highly skilled and experienced team you will ensure quality and highly reliable services. 

Experience requirements

• Hands-on experience with rotating equipment such as compressors, pumps, turbines, engines.
• Reading and understanding of drawings related to the machines such as P&ID’s, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Carrying out motor alignments, using indicator method and laser equipment.
• Dry Gas Seal (DGS) experience would be of advantage.
• LNG experience and dedicated knowledge within the LNG service sector is a strong asset.

Educational requirements

• University degree in the required field or similar qualifications gained through experience.
• A mechatronics background would be preferred with considerable exposure to rotating equipment.

Personality requirements

• Work independently in a challenging and demanding environment as well as being a member of the Asia-Oceania team for Atlas Copco.
• Fluency in Korean is a must, Japanese and English knowledge are also required.
• Customer oriented and motivated mechanical/ mechatronic engineer.
• Good computer skills such as Microsoft, Word, Excel, etc.

Additional information

• This position will require a high amount of travelling within the Asia-Oceania region.
