Senior SHEQ Executive

Your Role
Bring your curiosity to work as our next Senior SHEQ Executive. You will be part of our Malaysia and Singapore team reporting to SHEQ Manager. In this role, your mission is to manage the organization’s commitment to a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace by ensuring compliance with Malaysian regulations and international standards. By upholding ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and GDPMD certification, the role to fosters a culture of continuous improvement, sustainability, and safety under the guidance of the SHEQ Manager.
This position is also identified as part of the succession pipeline for the SHEQ Manager role, subject to performance, competency development, and business needs.
Your day-to-day
- Responsible for leading SHEQ functions, encompassing the roles of Occupational Safety & Health Officer (SHO) and Environmental Competent Person, to ensure full compliance with OSH and environmental regulations. This includes implementing policies, delivering training, managing risks, and handling incident reporting and investigations.
- Manages EMS, environmental monitoring, waste control, audits, and regulatory coordination as a Competent Person, while supporting OSH compliance through HIRARC, inspections, and emergency preparedness.
- Leads and supports audits and compliance for ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) through the Integrated Management System (IMS), while ensuring adherence to GDPMD certification requirements, including coordination with MDA on establishment licensing and monitoring device registration requirements, and maintaining EHS and MDA legal registers with necessary updates to ensure compliance.
- Drives the SHEQ framework by identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring compliance, and promoting continuous improvement. Additionally, enhances customer satisfaction through effective SHEQ practices and leads sustainability initiatives, including audits, environmental reporting, and regulatory updates.
Your skills and experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in safety and environmental roles.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian OSH and environmental regulations.
- Certified as a Safety and Health Coordinator & or Safety and Health Officer (SHO) by DOSH, Malaysia.
- Certified as a Competent Person under DOE regulations (e.g., Scheduled Waste Manager, CePSWaM certification).
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian OSH and environmental regulations.
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or related fields.
- Demonstrate a strong safety awareness and results-oriented mindset.
- Show initiative and proactive problem-solving .
- Maintain high work standards and effective time management
- Build teamwork, collaboration, and adaptability
- Communicate clearly with strong customer and business focus
