Your role

As a Account Manager, your mission is to establish long-term strategic partnerships, and ensure the achievement of regional sales targets and leading market share.. You will report to Sales Manager, SVD.

1. Regional Market Deep Cultivation and Business Development

  • Formulate and execute annual sales plans and strategies covering the scientific research market in Anhui and Shanghai, explore local opportunities in depth, and ensure the achievement of sales targets.
  • Systematically develop and maintain multi-level relationship networks with key scientific research customers in the region (e.g., University of Science and Technology of China, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, various research institutes affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhangjiang Laboratory, etc.).

2. System-Level Solution Sales and Technical Consulting

  • Lead the full-cycle sales of complex vacuum system integration projects for scientific research customers (e.g., customized ultra-high vacuum systems for synchrotron radiation beamlines, Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) lithography, etc.).

3. Full-Cycle Scientific Research Project Management and Customer Success

  • Be responsible for the full-cycle project management from demand research, technical exchange, solution formulation, bidding and tendering, contract signing to project delivery and acceptance.

4. Local Insight and Collaboration

  • Deeply understand the scientific research layout, dominant disciplines, funding sources, and characteristics of procurement processes in Anhui and Shanghai, and provide localized market insights.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Department to plan and participate in academic seminars, technical lectures, and key laboratory visits in the region, and strengthen Edwards’ expert brand image locally.

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Physics, Materials Science, Vacuum Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering disciplines. Master's/PhD degrees or research background are preferred.
  • At least 3-5 years of sales or senior technical support experience in the field of high-end scientific instruments, vacuum equipment, or complex system integration. 
  • Work experience in the scientific research market of Anhui and Shanghai is preferred; candidates with local customer networks will be highly advantageous.
  • Familiar with the procurement processes of government/scientific research projects and bidding and tendering norms.
  • Systems Thinking and Solution Sales Ability: Capable of understanding and selling integrated solutions based on customers’ overall experimental objectives.
  • Excellent Technical Communication Skill*: Able to communicate in-depth with researchers using scientific language and establish professional trust.
  • Fluent Chinese and English Communication Skills: Proficient in processing English technical materials and communicating with international teams.
  • Must reside in Anhui or Shanghai permanently and be able to travel frequently between the two regions.
