Business Development Manager

Your role
As a Business Development Manager, You will report to Business Line Manager, SUN.
You will
- Strategic Market Development: Formulate and implement a regional business development strategy in accordance with the Divisional market strategy in China.
- New Business Identification: Work closely with BLM and support BLM to develop new business opportunities to capture market share and expand Edwards' footprint in China.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence: Continuously monitor and analyze semiconductor market trends, future technology roadmaps and competitor activities. Translate these insights into actionable plans to define unique selling propositions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the application team, sales team, product management and divisional teams. Provide market-specific product requirements to ensure new product development meets the precise needs of semiconductor fabs and OEM customer. Actively collaborates with the global semiconductor team and local sales units, openly sharing market intelligence and successful deal strategies. Offers to assist the team in penetrating complex accounts to ensure collective success.
- Key Account & Project Support: Support key sales activities and strategic customers by offering technical and commercial expertise. Drive sales target by enabling the sales team with the knowledge and tools to offer total solutions.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business development professionals. Empower team members to take ownership of their initiatives while ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Brand Positioning: Work with the marketing team to ensure the Edwards brand is positioned as a technology leader, with messaging that resonates with semiconductor customers' needs for uptime, purity, and efficiency.

- Bachelor’s degree and above in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or a related technical field. An MBA is a strong plus.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with a specific focus on business development, strategic marketing, or senior sales management.
- Deep understanding of vacuum applications within semiconductor processes
- Proven track record of identifying and securing new business, with experience in deal screening and partnership development.
- Strategic and analytical thinker with strong business acumen, capable of developing long-range plans and adapting to rapid market shifts.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in English and Mandarin (written and verbal).
- Strong network within the Chinese semiconductor ecosystem, including foundries and OEMs.
- Customer-obsessed attitude, able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Result-oriented with strong analytical, planning, and forecasting capabilities.
