Controls Engineer

Your role

Your role at Atlas Copco as a Controls Engineer will be pivotal in delivering innovative and efficient electrical and control system solutions for diverse industrial projects. This role encompasses the full lifecycle of project implementation, from detailed design and component selection through programming, testing, commissioning, and handover, ensuring that each project meets the high standards of quality and customer satisfaction that Atlas Copco is known for.

You will lead the design and control engineering aspects related to electrical systems, including the development of PLC programming that interfaces with third-party devices such as robot controllers, vision systems, and tightening control units. Your expertise will also extend to conducting indoor commissioning and validation at supplier sites or workshop floors, providing essential support for on-site installations and delivering comprehensive training sessions to end customers and service engineers.

Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners, you will ensure smooth project delivery in adherence to Atlas Copco's rigorous standards and best practices. Documentation management, including control designs, user manuals, and lessons-learned reports, will form a critical part of your responsibilities, supporting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the organization.

Fluency in communication and a customer-centric approach are key to excelling in this role, as you will actively interact with clients to understand their electrical specifications and tailor solutions that align with their unique needs and industrial protocols.

To succeed, you will need

• Strong proficiency in electrical design and control engineering principles, particularly in PLC programming and system integration.
• Ability to interpret and adhere to client electrical specifications and industry protocols.
• Experience in project delivery managing design, implementation, commissioning, and handover phases.

Job location
