Engineering Manager, Start Up Company

Your role

As a Engineering Manager, Start Up Company, your mission is to develop the strategy and roadmap of technology and products by driving innovation and continuous improvement, and establish application and technical support, and marketing intelligence competence in China. You will report to Generral Manager.

You will

• Manage the team and improve operational efficiencies, coordination and execution within Engineering and direct activities from system design concept through production launch and commissioning.
• Oversee the team’s workload / activities, ensuring correct prioritization and delivery of milestones in a fast paced and complex environment.
• Lead the technical evaluation of customer applications, mechanical, electrical, controls and structural design aspects of product design.
• Interact directly with customers to prepare, change, and finalize engineering design project specifications.
• Participate in and contribute to strategic planning, implementation, and execution.
• Consult with engineering, sales, management, production to discuss design specifications and procedures.
• Conduct design specifically and technical analysis and proposals of customer needs and specifications.
• Provides necessary leadership, mentoring and coaching of direct reports.

• Bachelor’s degree and above in Mechanical Engineering / Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• 10+ years of working experience in engineering with more than 5 years of management experience in design engineering.
• Knowledge of vacuum pump/vacuum systems or rotating equipment and design applications concepts.
• Experience in managing design/project initiatives and associated support staff.
• Able to manage diverse engineering disciplines and associated people skills.
• Result-driven, radiant personality, who has strong leadership skills with the capability to give enthusiasm to the organization and can communicate effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team
• Critical Skills (9 Core Competency based evaluation)
• Teamwork skills to ensure cooperation with teammates to succeed as a unit and perform to your highest combined ability.

On-Site
This role requires you to work on-site at our office in Shanghai, China (CN). You will be part of a dynamic team and enjoy the benefits of face-to-face collaboration.
