Your Role

To be responsible for the technical execution of all compressor and expansion turbine system I & C design. This includes:

• Leading and coaching team members in compressor I &C design during project execution phase.
• Actively control the I&C design schedules and allocated resources. Secure an on-time delivery for design outputs (BOM’s / documents/ drawings / risk analysis etc.). In addition, strive for design efficiency and utilization of design resources.
• Actively focus and continuously improve on design quality via process like design review/ lessons-learned meetings and tools. Ensure that process and design related problems will be addressed and transferred into clear working instructions.
• Support Application engineering by reviewing specifications or technical clarifications.
• Support Aftermarket for site trouble shooting and root cause analysis, Support local sourcing and standardization.
• Develop specialists of compressor components like motor, PLC system, control valves in I&C design team.
• Keep aligned with engineering function in other GAP entities regarding daily job and continuous design improvement.
• Being responsible for efficient technical communication internally and externally with customers and suppliers when needful.
• Manage outsourced engineering.
• Be responsible for team competence development.
• Other task assigned.

 
To succeed, you will need  

• Bachelor’s degree or above in electricity, automation or instrumentation engineering related majors with at least 8 years of design experience in compressor area and 2 years of team management experience.
• Familiarity with international codes API, ASME, IEC and local Chinese codes is highly essential.
• Besides experience in machinery engineering, basic knowledge with electrical, instrument and control will be a big plus.
• Motivated self-starter.
• Fluent oral and written communication skills in English is must.
• Familiarity with SAP will be a plus.
