Product Owner - WeCom Platform & China Applications

Your role

As a Product Owner – WeCom Platform & China Applications, your mission is to drive the evolution of WeCom-based platforms, ensuring alignment with both local business needs and global IT strategy.You will report to Architecture & Innovation Manager .

Product Ownership & Strategy
•    Own the WeCom platform and assigned China applications as products, acting as the single point of accountability.
•    Align closely with Business Owners and Solution Owners to define product vision, priorities, and roadmap.
•    Translate local China business needs into clear, actionable product requirements while safeguarding global standards.
•    Contribute to overall solution strategy within the collaboration and business application domain.

Roadmap & Delivery
•    Develop, maintain, and communicate a transparent product roadmap aligned with business priorities and regulatory constraints.
•    Lead planning, refinement, and prioritization of product backlog and initiatives.
•    Coordinate design, development, configuration, acquisition, piloting, and lifecycle management of products in scope.
•    Ensure controlled rollout, adoption, and continuous improvement of WeCom-based solutions.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management
•    Work closely with local China business stakeholders, regional IT, and global Group IT functions.
•    Coordinate product-related activities with strategic vendors, local partners, and service providers.
•    Act as the primary escalation point for product-related issues within scope.

Operations, Support & Financials
•    Define and maintain product support processes, including documentation and handover to 1st and 2nd level support.
•    Coordinate 3rd level support, maintenance, and enhancements with vendors and development partners.
•    Oversee product-related financials (budget, forecast, cost control) in collaboration with Business Control.

Security, Compliance & Risk
•    Ensure products comply with applicable Chinese regulations, data protection laws, and internal governance standards.
•    Work closely with Information Security, Legal, Risk, and Architecture to ensure compliant product design and operation.
•    Safeguard system stability, data integrity, and appropriate data segregation between China and global environments.

Experience Requirement

• Proven experience as Product Owner, Platform Owner, or similar role for enterprise collaboration or business platforms.
• Experience working in or with China-based digital ecosystems and local vendors.
• Strong understanding of IT service management and product lifecycle management.
• Experience collaborating with global and regional stakeholders across time zones.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Experience with collaboration platforms (e.g., enterprise messaging, workflow, integration platforms).
• Understanding system integrations, APIs, and data flows.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based support models; ITIL certification is a plus.
• Strong project management and business analysis capabilities.

Educational requirements

• University degree in IT, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant certifications in product management, IT service management, or agile delivery are beneficial.
