Your role

As a Product manager

You will

-analyze the market situation through applications, segments, regions, products, competitors
-collect and interpret customer satisfaction, current needs and future opportunities
-propose, based on the findings, a solid and long term product strategy in line with the divisional growth strategy
-compile, in conversation with the future project team, the product specification for new product developments in professional "Master Specifications" which will be the foundation and guidance for the project team
-set-up and manage the product development projects from feasibility until full market introduction and safeguard quality, cost, planning
-be the key driver of high level interdepartmental interaction in accordance to the CtP process
-Interact extensively with the Product Managers in Wilrijk, Belgium for alignment on global strategy and prepare and present topics on the Divisional Product Strategy Meeting (PSM)
-continually monitor product quality & perception and be the driver for continuous improvement when and wherever needed
-support the Customer Centers through extensive interaction & training on product values, applications, documentation, promotion material and market trends
-identify valuable business opportunities for profitable growth through communication with the Customer Centers and drive its strategic implementation

You will be an integral part of the Oil-free Air divisional marketing team with dedicated product development focus for the product lines manufactured in Wuxi, China. This position reports to the Marketing Manager Oil-free Air of the Wuxi product company.

OHS Responsibility Regulation

-Following the related OHS regulations and procedures;

-Joining the related OHS training arranged by the company for getting the necessary safety、health  

  and fire-fighting knowledge;

- Knowing the potential safety and health hazard and measure beside operation and any other area;

- Communicating any safety & health hazards with team leaders;

- Refusing any operation that violates OHS regulations and procedures;

- Persuading others not to violate OHS regulations and procedures;

- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according the Position PPE Standard;

Experience requirements
Solid understanding of the sales and service process of Turbo compressors.
A strong technical background combined with a sound knowledge of Turbo compressors, applications and markets.Experience in developing interdepartmental collaboration & driving towards extraordinary results

Knowledge
Good command (verbal and written) of English. Excellent (mother) tongue of Chinese language is required. Solid understanding of Lotus Notes and affinity for MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Note One…)Familiarity with Atlas Copco Group is an advantage.

Educational requirements
University degree, preferably with a technical background
