The Role

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • · Manage team resources, knowledge, and skills to meet production demands on time, cost-effectively, and with required quality.
  • · Monitor, act on, and report Production KMIs, KPIs, and KAIs. Identify and mitigate future risks.
  • · Oversee the implementation of new work methods or skills to future-proof production processes.
  • · Support R&D with New Product Introduction for the business lines, ensuring capacity and people are capable and compliant.
  • · Set and implement the vision for the production team, incorporating inputs from all operational functions.
  • · Lead development initiatives to identify opportunities for new projects to improve skills and efficiencies.
  • · Propose and oversee budgets, work methods, and timelines for production projects.
  • · Define and track departmental budgets to ensure adherence.
  • · Implement production projects that contribute to the company’s sustainability targets.
  • · Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental legislation, and SHEQ policies.
  • · Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • · Prepare and deliver production-related presentations internally and externally.

Manage the Production teams, defining and communicating clear production deliverables and performance targets. Manage all relevant aspects of assigned projects and day-to-day operations to meet profitability and financial targets. Ensure the team deliver products and services in line with customer needs contributing to the long-term success of the organisation.

 

Support all Operational teams to achieve KPI’s by developing a strong Production team that is focused on improving the current performance in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.

 

This role is part of the Leadership Team and plays a key role in guiding the company’s strategic and operational direction. You’ll help shape the company’s vision, mission, and long-term goals, and contribute to strategic planning and implementation. As a leader, you’ll create a positive and inclusive work environment, work closely with other leaders and departments, make informed decisions, and mentor team members. Clear communication and transparency are essential. You’ll provide regular updates on progress, engage with stakeholders to understand their needs, and incorporate their feedback into plans. This approach helps the leadership team steer the company towards its goals while promoting collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • · Degree in engineering or relevant production experience.
  • · Analytical and mathematical skills for evaluating and solving complex problems.
  • · Leadership skills to manage and develop a team and work seamlessly with other departments.

  • · Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment.
  • · Strong interpersonal communication skills to explain complex topics to a broader audience.

  • · Keen eye for detail and ability to track and report on activities.
  • · Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations.
  • · Understanding of budgeting and performance management.
