Project Manager

Your role

• Project management starting from order taking from application till delivery.
• Lead scope management, reflected in contract amendment, internal orderbook, internal SAP scope configuration.
• Lead schedule management, reflected in SAP milestone, BOM and document progress, and coordinate other functions about on-time purchasing and on-time production, to ensure on-time delivery.
• Lead risk management, reflected in reasonable contract amendment under Prokura policy, closely payment follow-up together with Finance and Sales, in-time escalation.
• Lead the connection/coordination between phases of execution when needful, like handover from sales to engineering, handover from engineering to purchasing/core assembly/packaging, handover to aftermarket.
• Lead the coordination with other GAP entities regarding core delivery schedule.
• Support on cost control.
• Support on aftermarket site service.
• Work as main contact with customer until project delivery and remain as commercial contact until project acceptance by customer.
• Ensure on time delivery by expediting engineering schedule and coordination with sourcing and production.
• Other tasks assigned by manager.

To succeed, you will need

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering environment.
• Proven track of successful Project Management (technical and commercial) with local and international customers.
• Experience in customer contact and negotiations.
• Knowledge of standard IT software like MS Office, experience in ERP systems (SAP R/3 knowledge would be a surplus).
• We expect a professional who is familiar with custom engineered products, production and related planning processes, knowledge about the GAP products would be beneficial.
• Fluent in English and Chinese.
• University degree (or equivalent) in engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering.
• Strong Leadership ability.
• Strong communication and also coaching skills.
• Must be creative, innovative, cost driven, have good hands-on practical mechanical skills and a team player.
• Customer oriented attitude.
• Open cultural personality, steady work and self-discipline.
• Willing to travel also overseas.
• Strong flexibility and pressure resistant.
