Senior Technical Support Engineer- Mechanical

Your role

As a Senior Technical Support Engineer- Mechanical, your mission is to lead the electrical engineering and localization of complex electromechanical products, with a focus on electrical system design, component localization and technical transfer of global products to China.

You will report to China Program Manager.

You will

• Support mechanical engineering activities for product localization, from technical transfer and design adaptation through validation and production readiness.
• Develop and optimize mechanical / structural components, with a focus on rotors, impellers, stators, magnetic bearings and related rotating structures.
• Work closely with global R&D / Engineering teams to understand and transfer electrical requirements, specifications, design documents and technical knowledge to China.
• Support technical evaluation and development of local electrical / electronic suppliers, including design reviews, technical problem solving and process improvement.
• Review and manage electrical design documentation, including SMT and PCBA design files, schematics, BOMs and related technical specifications.
• Participate in product verification and validation, including electrical / functional testing and analysis of test results.
• Apply APQP / PPAP quality tools during supplier development and product localization.
• Identify electrical design and manufacturing risks and drive solutions together with Engineering, Procurement, SQE and suppliers.
• Identify and support VA/VE and design-to-cost opportunities for electrical components and systems.
• Support and participate in 2–3 or more product localization / technology transfer projects.

• 5+ years of R&D / Mechanical Engineering experience in complex mechanical or electromechanical products.
• Strong mechanical / structural engineering background is required.
• Solid experience in the design and development of rotors, impellers, stators, magnetic bearings and/or other high-speed rotating components.
• Experience with precision mechanical design, manufacturing processes and engineering problem solving.
• Proven experience in at least 2–3 product localization / technology transfer projects.
• Good knowledge of APQP, PPAP and supplier quality tools.
• Practical experience in VA/VE and design-to-cost.
• Strong English communication skills, with the ability to work directly with overseas R&D / Engineering teams on technical topics.
• Strong teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills.
