Sourcing Engineer

Your Role

Major responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Take responsibility of procurement of direct material from local and overseas.
• Daily RFQ for new parts , negotiate favorable terms, condition, pricing, and to arrange for delivery when and where needed, maintain price and info in system.
• Take responsibility of new vendor development.
• Suppler management and supplier quality improvement.
• Annual cost reduction project plan and take proactive action.
• To monitor supplier compliance with purchase order contracts and resolve discrepancies.
• Cooperate with logistic, production, planning, etc. ensure stock at reasonable level.
• The ability to understand the customers' needs and then use the knowledge to help company be more profitable.
• Payment settle against contract terms.
• Make purchasing related reports and analysis monthly.
• Other tasks to be assigned by the team leader.

Candidate’s profile

 Education

• University degree or above.

 
To succeed, you will need  

• Experience 

  • The successful candidate should have a minimum of 3 years as Sourcing Engineer Or similar job.
  • Experience of non-standard parts and project.
  • Experience of working in a factory or industrial environment is preferred.
  • Experience of working within an international matrix-organization and adapt easily to different cultures.
  • Experience of new vendor development is preferred.
  • Experience of drawings and mechanical process.

  Knowledge

  • Mechanical knowledge.
  • Workshop safety

  Skills

  • Competence with Microsoft, SAP.

  Language

  • Good Communication: English spoken & written & oral at all levels
